REBECCA HARDING
Rebecca Harding has 24 years’ experience as a physiotherapist with the past 10 years specializing entirely in the treatment of scoliosis. In 2013, she founded ‘Scoliosis Physiotherapy’, Australia’s first scoliosis specific practice that provides both physiotherapy (PSSE) and Orthotist bracing services. She is a member of The International Society on Scoliosis Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Treatment (SOSORT) and has participated in their special interest research components.
In 2016, Rebecca presented at the Spine Society of Australia’s (SSA) national conference on idiopathic scoliosis and in 2016 and 2019, presented on the same topic for the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). In 2019, she was also invited by a leading scoliosis orthopaedic surgeon to jointly develop a scoliosis service at one of Melbourne’s Private Hospitals. She is passionate about knowledge sharing and frequently provides workshops and lectures for the health profession.
Rebecca helps people with scoliosis to connect with each other by hosting morning teas on International Scoliosis Awareness Day and running a social activity program specifically for braced adolescents to meet each other for fun and experience sharing.
