Level 1 Course. Amy Sbihli. San Antonio, Tx, US
This Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School Level 1 (L1) course, teaching the Rigo Concept on the topics of scoliosis and juvenile kyphosis treatment, was held in San Antonio, Texas. It brought together physical therapists from all over the USA – Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Michigan, and Massachusetts. Our host was Cori Reynolds, PT and owner of the Scoliosis Therapy of San Antonio. We had the opportunity to spend 6 days in her beautiful clinic with lovely scenery and beautiful weather. During the course, we worked at learning these topics:
“What is scoliosis?”
“What physical therapy skills can we combine and use to treat scoliosis?”
“How do we communicate to the patient, family and other medical providers to foster a team approach to care”.
The course format of lecture and practical hands-on practice helped the class of 10 students learn about the complexity of the condition of scoliosis and kyphosis, and how to use the Rigo Concept and Rigo Method to treat the condition of scoliosis. Thank you, Cori, for being an amazing host and for sharing your clinic with us. Best of luck to this bright class of therapists as they travel to their hometowns. BSPTS is on mission, training many more skilled physical therapists around the world using the Rigo Concept to offer access to excellent care for those with the condition of scoliosis and juvenile kyphosis.
