Level 1 with Beth Janssen in Memorial Hermann, Houston, Texas

The Rigo Concept Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School held a Level 1 Course at Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine in Houston, Texas, January 13-18, 2026. Eight PT’s participated, six of which were from Memorial Hermann. We also had two PT’s who traveled from Illinois and California.
During the course we reviewed the 3D nature of Scoliosis, practiced how to identify a structural curve clinically and confirmed with radiological findings. We learned about the different curve patterns and how to identify them both clinically and radiologically. We studied the treatment options using PT Scoliosis Specific Exercises according to the Rigo Concept. We reviewed the history of the Rigo Concept and student had the opportunity to realize that the Rigo Concept is an evolution of the original Schroth Method.
PT’s in the class had the opportunity to observe evaluations and treatments. These PT’s are now prepared to work with people with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
