Level 1, Andreea Virban, Constanta, Romania
At the beginning of April this year 2023, Constanta city hospital hosted the first BSPTS Rigo Concept course that has been held in a public hospital in Romania for 5 of its physiotherapists.
It was certainly a challenging week, due to the fact that the physiotherapists working in the hospital found this method of non surgical scoliosis treatment really hard to implement in their day to day activity, because they are generally used to work with more than one patient at a time.
They found these specific exercises for scoliosis to be very effective, also seeing what an amazing ”immediate effect after the therapy” one patient that participated in the demonstration had.
The quantity of the information was a lot for everybody, the days sometimes were a bit longer and the questions about scoliosis prognosis and treatment options went on going as the days past. What was most impressive was that, although we had people participating in the course that had more than 20 years of experience in the recovery field, their curiosity and openness to discover the information our Barcelona Scoliosis Physiotherapy School had to offer was truly fascinating and humbling at the same time.
And after finishing the course this week, we are looking forward to setting new Rigo Concept course dates in the next year, starting 2024. We will be back with the dates details in the near future. Continue treating patients with kindness, continue with the curiosity of wanting to know what is scoliosis and how to treat scoliosis in the best way. Future updates will be posted on the bspts.net website.
