From July 31-August 5, 2023, the Rigo Concept Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School Level 2 was taught by Beth Janssen, PT in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA. We had a small class, so learning was especially personal. The attending PT’s had the opportunity to observe the teacher treating patients at various stages of their PT training, various ages and stages of health and in all the different curve patterns described by Dr Rigo. The Rigo Concept is based on the Schroth Method, but has evolved with clear principles for PT’s to understand and apply during different treatment phases. Evaluation and classification skills related to scoliosis patterns and sagittal plane problems were studied and practiced in the lab. The PT’s in the class did a great job and they will surely offer good services to the patient’s they encounter.
