The base course on Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School was held in Bulgaria from 4 to 6 September 2021. For first time is took place in Sofia at University hospital of Orthopaedics “Prof. B. Boychev”. The course was supported by the Bulgarian Association of Physical Therapists (BAPT) and the Bulgarian Orthopaedic and Trauma Association (BOTA). The base course was theoretical, including the following topics: What is scoliosis; Scoliosis prognosis; How to treat scoliosis; non-surgical scoliosis treatment; physiotherapy exercises for scoliosis; brace for scoliosis; scoliosis clinical types based on Rigo classification. The course was attended mainly by physiotherapists, and there were also students at medicine, physiotherapists and ergotherapists. Only certified physiotherapists can take part in the next Level 1 of the Rigo Concept course. All topics was in Bulgarian language. All participants successfully passed the exam.

All instructions and rules for preventing the spread of COVID-19 according to the legislation of Bulgaria were observed.
