Base Course, Bulgaria. Teacher: Borislav Chongov

The base course on Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School was held in Bulgaria from 16 to 18 October 2020. It took place in Sofia at Spine Recovery and Educational Center “Sport and Health”.

The course was supported by the Bulgarian Association of Physical Therapists and the Bulgarian Orthopaedic and Trauma Association.

The base course was theoretical, including the following topics: What is scoliosis; Scoliosis prognosis; How to treat scoliosis; non-surgical scoliosis treatment; physiotherapy exercises for scoliosis; brace for scoliosis; scoliosis clinical types based on Rigo classification.

The course was attended mainly by physiotherapists, and there were also fitness instructors. Only certified physiotherapists can take part in the next level 1 of the Rigo Concept.

The course was in Bulgarian language. All participants successfully passed the exam.All instructions and rules for preventing the spread of COVID-19 according to the legislation of Bulgaria were observed.
