The comprehensive physiotherapy training program for the treatment of scoliosis and spinal conditions The Rigo concept launched with the basic course.
Some of the topics the students were introduced to were: the history, development and upgrading of Katerina Schroth’s method; frontal planes – basic for building a correct correction; learned what is the pelvic incidence, pelvic tilt, sacral slope and their interdependence; they learned how to properly measure the Cobb angle and how to do a radiographic assessment and a lot more fundamental information before we go in deep.
The training will last 3 days, and at the end of March, the students will move to level 1.
The host of the course is USBAL in Orthopedics “Prof. Boycho Boychev”. The course was supported by the Bulgarian Association of Physical Therapists (BAPT) and the Bulgarian Orthopaedic and Trauma Association (BOTA). . The course was attended mainly by physiotherapists, and there were also Doctor of Physical Therapy and rehabilitation medicine. We will have newly educated therapists in Pleven, Sliven, Plovdiv, Targovishte, Pirdop, Burgas, Vratsa and others. Only certified physiotherapists can take part in the next Level 1 of the Rigo Concept course. All topics were in the Bulgarian language.
All participants successfully passed the exam.
